Sean Scott – Welcome

Sean Scott - Welcome

“Up-and-coming artist Sean Scott has a lot in store over the coming months. To ease into the release of My Inception, his forthcoming mixtape, the New York City emcee gives listeners a warm “Welcome” to his promising sound. Over original production, which caters to his slow and steady flow, Scott’s freestyle takes listeners into his journey in the music industry thus far as well as his life away from it.

“Lyrics too educated for people who are tuned in/ Overlooked as one of the illest to ever do this/ Flow crazy, wait stop it, I’m understating the magnitude of my style, swagger is un-relating/ To anything that you hear on web or radio station/Compared to these artist that really sound outdated,” he boasts before declaring that he’s representing real hip-hop.

Scott’s My Inception mixtape is scheduled for digital release in October. Last month, he dropped “In My City” and a visual for “Talking Bout,” a song where he set out to singlehandedly disprove those who claim NYC has fallen off.

“Welcome” will not appear on Sean Scott’s tape, it’s simply a teaser for what to expect in the weeks to come.” – Danitha Jones

Sean Scott – Talkin’ Bout (Official Music Video)

“The name “Sean Scott” may not ring a bell right now but, once his debut feature’s made the rounds, everybody’s gonna be Talkin’ Bout the Empire State rhymesayer. On this freshly-minted mixtape single, debuting on our front page along with director Lambkini‘s official visuals, the unsigned emcee sets out to singlehandedly disprove those who claim NYC’s fallen off. Pav Bundy‘s production, a scintillating synth arrangement with just a hint of dubstep in the thrumming bassline, sets the stage for verses celebrating his city’s illustrious legacy in the game, as well as his own paper chase. Fans will be able to find Talkin’ Bout and much more on Scott’s My Inception mixtape, scheduled for digital release in October.” – Richard
